Do you think Americans will be granted tourist visas to Burkina Faso anytime soon?
Hello everyone,
About eight years ago I backpacked through Ghana, Togo and Benin and really fell in love with the region. I have since made four trips through West Africa, making my way along the coast from Senegal to Benin. I very much look forward to the day when I can visit Burkina, but I know the government is not granting tourist visas to US citizens at the moment. Do you think this will change soon? How does the general population view American tourists? I understand the anti-French sentiments in the country, but do these extend to other groups as well?
One day I hope to see the Royal Court of Tiebele and visit the museums in Ouagadougou and Bobo so I can learn about Burkinabe culture.
