Moving near stanford as a new grad for a job (near fuki sushi)

Hi! I'm moving to Palo Alto as a new grad for a job in a startup and will be pretty close to stanford. I'm super scared about making new friends and having a good social life outside of work. I'm also looking to find a roommate too and I'm just very scared as its a really big change for me.

Does anyone have any advice on:

  1. How to make new friends in Palo Alto?
  2. Affordable housing options near fuki sushi and how to find a roommate (female, around 22 yr old, moving around july 1)
  3. Should I live in SF and do the commute to office (tues, wed, thurs) or live in Palo Alto as I know a decent amount of people in SF but none in Palo Alto.
4.I don't really prefer driving a car, is it a must in the area?
  4. How to get involved with any networks/clubs/ organisations outside of study/work for socialising or hobbies
  5. If you love shopping, going for concerts, doing workout classes, trying new restaurants, getting coffee, watching movies or just going for walks, reach out :))

Thanks!!
