Recently read https://archiveofourown.org/works/87540361 (Make Me, Face Me, Look at Me by DrainedofDaylight150) and I just really loved after how >!Hermione dies!<Tom swoops in and endears himself to Harry, taking advantage of his grief and protecting him from the Dursleys where he snatches up the opportunity to make Harry irrevocably loyal and his, despite it being implied that Tom is the cause of said death.
