Socialite ‘Mothers’

I’ve noticed a pattern with the it-girl/socialite type who has a baby and then rushes straight back into her former life of uninterrupted leisure.

In many cases, these women have children with wealthy partners (whether due to personal desires, societal expectations, or both).

Naturally, you’d expect motherhood to drastically alter someone’s priorities and routines as they begin raising a family.

Yet you rarely see them with a hair out of place or even the faintest hint of eye bags. In fact, you’d be forgiven for not knowing that many of these figures have literal tiny newborns at home.

The amount of staff they must have access to in order to travel so extensively and live so carefree is staggering. Especially when most mothers struggle to find time for a shower or even a short walk during those first few months.

Disclaimer: I absolutely believe mothers should be able to arrange childcare and enjoy themselves from time to time. However, I can’t help but notice figures such as Camille Rowe and Poppy Delevingne constantly jetting off, attending concerts, fashion events, and so on, seemingly without missing a beat
