How much else is out of date?

So, this is a small detail but for me it's part of a bigger problem.

I’m reading module TM256 and it talks about the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI), which sounded like something to protect the everyday person. Me thinking, oh wow that's something I’d love to do as a career. so i google it...

The CPNI was shut down in 2023 to merge with the NPSA.

The module makes no reference to the NPSA or that the CPNI merged with it, so minimum this text is 3 years out of date. Well 3 years out of date in cyber is an eternity.

My question is, if that is out of date, then this text is out of date, so the module could be out of date from which I'm learning about things.

Well what if I'm learning vastly out of date subjects that, when i go into the workplace and start talking about what I’ve learned, what if i have people calling me out on being out of date with subjects.

I'm paying for this course and degree, I shouldn't be learning out of date material.

Like i said, this is one small bit that's out of date but it could be part of more out of date material.

TM252 TMA, I'm done stressing about it.

I've finally hit that moment in my studies where I feel "whatever I get in this second TMA I don't care anymore."

I have had 2 EMA's and 1 TMA for three other modules that were demanded over 5 days, during this time there was no way I could focus on weekly learning for TM252 so there is no way I can do javascript for this one. No way I can learn it or read it or write it or understand it.

I'm making a big trip the day after the TMA is due to pick up a foster dog so I'm not going to stress anymore about this TMA, I've got bigger fish to fry.

What this has made me realise is that I really can't carry on stressing myself about it, I'm not going to get a 1st degree as it's just not possible within myself. I started this course with high hopes and excitement but now I barely want to touch it, I'm most certainly not enjoying it anymore and I'm not learning correctly to speak confidently to people about the subject.

If the OU is going to have moments in the year where multiple parts are expected at the same time then they can't expect perfect scores.

Strategy guide arrived!

Got myself a great deal on the fallout new vegas collectors edition strategy guide. About half what it usually goes for and has the map included which I plan to frame.

Added the fallout 3 guidebook to my collection today

Got it for a steal on eBay with the map included, in very good condition granted it’s from 2008 and I got it for like 20% of what it was worth.

So i'm in the position i'm not working and doing this degree full time, even now i'm feeling that this is really hard to keep up with the demand for the work/study needed. How on earth do people that work or have busy families to contend with even work alongside the uni?

Haven’t had any for such a long time, pokemon was too expensive and yugioh felt like a good alternative hobby for collecting. These packs are probably not worth much in the eyes of a lot of people here but I like having my first Egyptian god card and blue eyes white dragons
