I just updated the Giraffile 🦒 website to v1.0.1, adding a legal notice and a QR code (thanks to an awesome community member) that you can scan to make it even easier to use.

The file travels directly from device A to device B.

I designed the architecture so that even if someone tried to intercept the data stream, they wouldn’t find anything on servers because, technically, there are no transfer servers.

- No cloud.

- No intermediary server

- Everything lives in local memory.

- Open source

Buenas tardes colegas, recién he lanzado Giraffile v1.0.0, un proyecto que quiero compartir con ustedes, trata de una herramienta web que tiene como utilidad el envío seguro de archivos usando links.

He diseñado la arquitectura de tal forma que, aunque alguien intentara interceptar el flujo de datos, no encontraría nada en los servidores porque, técnicamente, no hay servidores de transferencia.

• Sin nube.
• Sin servidores intermedios.
• Todo reside en la memoria local.
• Código abierto.

I named it Letrialism.

I’m a big fan of the Helvetica font, but I haven’t been able to get my hands on it. However, I found the Archivo font, which has been a lifesaver for me and helped me a lot in laying the groundwork for this idea.

A while back, I set myself a challenge: to create a music player that would run directly in the command-line terminal.

I wanted something clean, minimalist, and easy to use while I was coding, without having to leave the console. The result is MASCII.

Today I’m officially launching it, but you won’t see it in version 1.0.0. Why? Because the early versions served as my personal testing ground, where I explored the code, fixed connection errors, and polished internal details to ensure a smooth user experience. Version 1.1.0 Kingston 🇯🇲 is the first stable milestone I’m proud to share :)))))

MASCII supports a wide variety of audio formats and the following file extensions:

• .mp3 (standard compression)
• .wav (lossless, uncompressed)
• .flac (lossless, compressed)
• .ogg (open-source Vorbis)
• .m4a / .aac (Advanced Audio Coding)

And here’s the best part: if you get tired of your local files, just press the “y” key. Type in any YouTube link, and MASCII will magically play it right on your terminal.

To make things even better, you can easily shape your sound on the fly. By just pressing the 'e' key, you can cycle through built-in equalizer presets like ROCK, POP, JAZZ, FLAT, and CLASSIC. Whether you want punchy bass or a cleaner acoustic vibe, you can adapt the audio to your mood with a single keystroke.

I'm not a professional programmer, nor am I the best at what I do, so you may encounter bugs or glitches when using the app. However, I know that the wonderful community will be able to improve this project with a lot of care. All feedback is appreciated.

Hola buenas, desde hace un tiempo estoy trabajando en un proyecto personal llamado Reuuz. La idea nació de una necesidad que veo constante en nuestras ciudades: tenemos muchas cosas en casa que ya no usamos, pero que siguen siendo útiles, y a menudo terminan en la basura simplemente porque no sabemos cómo hacerlas llegar a alguien que las necesite de forma sencilla

Reuuz es una plataforma sin ánimo de lucro diseñada para conectar a quienes desean donar objetos con quienes los necesitan. No hay publicidad, no hay venta de datos ni hay fines comerciales.

Me gustaría que todos en el país la conozcan y quisiera saber si puedo publicar algo relacionado sin que me tumben el post, quiero generar un gran impacto positivo ambiental y social 🇨🇴

Estoy lanzando una herramienta llamada Reuuz (de reusar, reutilizar) para mejorar la logística de donaciones en colombia. El reto de implementar la reutilización en el contexto colombiano.

Quiero que la experiencia fuera lo más sencilla posible para evitar la fricción al donar. Actualmente, el flujo es muy directo:

1. Publicas el objeto: Subes una foto y una descripción breve de lo que quieres donar.
2. Conexión directa: Quien lo necesite ve la publicación y puede solicitarlo. La plataforma se encarga de conectar a ambas partes.
3. Gestión de entrega: Nosotros facilitamos la comunicación para que se acuerde el punto de encuentro y la entrega, fomentando la seguridad y la confianza.

Quiero aclarar que Reuuz no tiene fines de lucro. Es un proyecto personal que desarrollo por convicción; no hay publicidad, no hay venta de datos ni cobro por transacciones. Mi única meta es crear una herramienta que sea útil para nuestra región y que realmente ayude a las personas.
