Alright guys, searched the internet and couldn’t find the answer to this one.
I have a stripped ball joint bolt on a smugtop lid gas strut arm

Which mine does have that little outside pin around it which I’ve removed.
But mine also feels like it has a pin on the inside circling around the ball joint. It is a C shape, doesn’t go all the way around, so my thought was to try to pop the ball out through the opening of the “c” but that also isn’t working. It’s pretty rusted too so maybe that is how it works but it’s just old and hard to do.
Before I hurt myself trying to pry this out, am I missing something?
