What are we even doing anymore?

I guess this is a rant. I shall title it, "hiring season". But some of this still applies to last year's hires.

My hosts don't know what tallies mean. Or the concept known as "rotation". When I see them on a phone that isn't their cell phone, my heart drops. They have no idea what to do. They will mouth out what the customer is saying on the other end to me as if I can figure out what's happening and then fail to put the person on hold and just hand me the receiver.

My bussers/runners don't know even why a mop bucket exists. Their hair is the only thing wilder and more out of control than their communication skills which only consist of the word 'bruh' and complete mispronunciations of menu items.

My servers look at coke BIBs like UFOs. They are terrified of communication beyond them being cute. And it is not cute to forget to ring in a 10 top or to run a CC on the wrong table.

My team makes me laugh when I want to cry. My host that doesn't understand tallies lets me teach her about Jane Eyre. And compliments people genuinely. My busser that still can't figure out table numbers when we combine two tables still stays late to help his team. My server that a BIB machine would break, knows every little detail of closing to make sure the am staff has a good start. I adore what I do. But damn.

Didn't these kids have chores before I came along?

So until about 6 years ago (have been collecting for about 30+ years) most of my beloved pieces would be described as pebble-sized and or thumb sized, and only a few of my oldest pieces are larger... And because of my complete emotional attachment to them I would never want them "behind glass" or inaccessible. Over the last 8 years, thanks to not only an advancing career but to many of my loved ones recognizing that the gift of a crystal means a lot to me, I have collected about 20 to 30 "fist" size (3-7 inch) pieces that are absolutely beautiful and meaningful to me.

I was wondering if anyone would have any insight into a display option that would both keep all of these pieces accessible and not locked up per se, but also beautifully visible because I love displaying my crystals.

In the past I've lived by myself where I could take some of these bigger pieces and place them in not so practical places in my home, but now I live with a very ADHD partner ( who has purchased me the majority of these pieces) that I love my life with and I don't want them to be in his way or him to feel like he has to be constantly careful or precious with because they are on the coffee table or a table that we have to access constantly.

Until recently I have been able to place these amongst my three table altar ( I am so lucky he lets me take up a whole wall ... But his altar is to the TV/ multiple computer world and he gets the bigger wall lol) but I would really like to explore any new options. Show me your crystal displays please! I do not have a ton of money to make this happen. I have no pieces bigger than a fist... No 100# amethysts but I do have a really lovely and varied mix of what I would call medium small pieces.

I am including some pics of how I have managed before my few latest additions (about 7-9) over the seasons... and I change my altar constantly so a change would not bother me. These pics are more to show my aesthetic than anything. Please show me your beautiful rock babies and their little bedrooms!
