I've been eyeing certain pink shimmers and magnetic polishes, because I technically only have magnetics in other colors, but I'm currently on a no-buy. Recently I've also been doing a lot of layering experiments, and yesterday I tried layering a light red jelly polish over a purple magnetic polish that has blue shimmer and a light peachy flash. The result is a gorgeous magenta base color with a coral magnetic flash. I was stunned at how well it worked! This legitimately looks like some of the pink polishes that I've been considering, and maybe even looks better??

I also layered that same reddish jelly under a very sheer blue polish with a pink-to-gold shimmer, and that came out to a nice hot pink shade with shimmer. Layering truly is a lifesaver when it comes to appreciating the polishes I have while also scratching my itch for novelty!

LynB's A Queen on Her Pillow is gorgeous and magnetized so easily?! Minimal dispersion after a day, compared to other magnetics that I've used. I've also been doing a thing where I don't apply a topcoat to the magnetic until the next morning, and I think that's been helping.

I did layer Glitch's Dream Opal over this one, which made the blue very slightly darker and added more pink-purple shimmer.

Base coat is LynB's B-smooth and top coat is SH insta-dri in the red bottle.

Apologies for my dented/ridged nail (I used to pick my nail folds pretty badly) but the polish is so gorgeous that I can't help but show it off!!

I was excited to try Fallen Rose Petals after receiving my Glitch Lacquer order, and I did really like how juicy and jelly it looked especially with multiple layers of flakies showing through, but felt like it was still missing some depth that I had hoped for.

Last night I realized that I could just layer it over one of my favorite magnetics, and now I've gotten the extra depth that I wanted! So happy with this result! I still enjoy Fallen Rose Petals on its own though, so I'll post that once I get a couple more good pictures in the setting/lighting that I want.

Right hand is mostly 1-2 coats of EdM's Fiery Attraction, magnetized lazy glass bead style, under 1-2 coats of Fallen Rose Petals.

Ring finger is similar: a jelly sandwich of 2x Glitch Lacquer's Dream Opal, 1x Cracked Thin Ice, 1x Dream Opal again.

All have a base coat of LynB's B-Smooth and are topped with SH Insta-dri.

Also shoutout to Bree from Glitch - she accidentally sent me Dream Opal instead of the Astral Glass that I ordered, and when I contacted her about the mix-up, she responded super quickly, said I could keep the Dream Opal bottle, and sent me Astral Glass on the same day!! I'm actually realizing I like Dream Opal on me way more, so honestly a fortunate mix-up haha

Layering a black creme under a magnetic really helps make the contrast deeper! I'm also experimenting with waiting longer before applying the top coat, to see if it helps with dispersion. I re-magnetized longer than usual after the top coat longer (about 5min?) so hopefully that helps as well.

I have been having so much fun matching my nails to my other things lol
