MSK ultrasound CME

I have some basic ultrasound knowledge, so not starting at square one, and would like to gain further MSK ultrasound knowledge. Anyone have recommendations for a good quality CME course, ideally in the southeast area but not required.

The only MSK focused one I’ve been able to find is MTMI‘s course in NC but no idea if it’s good quality and worth the money/time.

Dying dogwood sending up healthy suckers

We have lived in our house for approximately a year and a half and in the front yard is a dogwood that is struggling. Our yard was neglected by the previous owners and then we did a significant remodel which meant we neglected it as well for almost a year. I cut off the main trunk and a significant branch that were completely dead approximately 18 months ago and at that time there were some small suckers coming up from the ground. I decided to leave them because they looked healthy and the rest of the main tree does not look super healthy. As I hope is noticeable from the attached picture, these suckers have grown significantly and appeared to be rather healthy.

My question is, does it make sense to cut down the main tree to allow the roots to focus on these suckers and hopefully grow a new, healthier tree or is the whole thing likely to be lost regardless?

There are insect holes all over the main trunk but I don’t know if those were the cause of the die back or the result of an already dying tree. They do appear old as I’ve been paying attention and don’t see any new activity.

Forged school notes

A bit of an odd situation. A local high school kid has forged a bunch of school excuse notes as if they were written from our clinic. These go back over a year and are just the kid trying to get excuses for missed school.

Our clinic manager is freaking out because the front desk told the school they were not our letterhead and the logo was wrong. She didn’t confirm or deny anything regarding the patient, just that the papers were incorrect.

Our manager believes this to be a HIPPA violation because we’ve now “confirmed” this patient did not receive care at the clinic.

Is that actually a violation? Seems pretty ridiculous if it is. The fallout (so far) is that the kid won’t graduate high school due to absences. So theoretically the kid/family could sue the clinic but I wouldn’t expect that to go anywhere.

Just an odd situation I‘ve not run into before.

Purchase LM2206sp with free 5AH battery - return battery or keep?

So I made another post recently about my older batteries starting to die, with two of my 5AH batteries giving me the yellow ring. I've pretty much decided that I'll get a new mower, the LM2206SP, which should improve on a lot of the minimal issues I have with my current peak power (dual battery) mower and allow me to get some new batteries. I have around 0.5 acres of grass to mow so have always had a back up set of batteries to switch between so I didn't have to stop mowing.

With the LM2206SP comes a 10AH battery and free 5AH battery. Can the LM2206SP run on the 5AH and can anyone give an idea on runtime in comparison to the 10AH? Is it half?

I currently have four 5AH batteries (2 are dying) and another 2.5AH battery...but all are 2018-2019 so not sure how much longer any will last. My thought was to return the free 5AH battery to put that money toward the purchase of another 10AH or even maybe a 12AH battery. To me this would be more useful and allow for greater run time but wanted to check to see if there is something I'm missing where I should keep the 5AH? While I could afford to purchase a 10AH itself I'd rather not spend more than necessary, like most of us.

Older equipment: battery replacement

I know this topic has been brought up multiple times but I couldn’t find anything with recent responses and maybe somebody could give some worthwhile . I have the LM2140SP mower that requires dual batteries. This was purchased in 2019, so it is seven years old and the batteries that came with it are giving me significant problems. I actually have two sets and it appears that one battery from each set is struggling/dying. giving me significant problems. I actually have two sets and it appears that one battery from each set is struggling/dying.

In looking, the price for replacement batteries is cost prohibitive. My mower seems to be functioning fine, but certainly could use some blade sharpening. My question is does it make more sense to purchase new batteries or purchase a new mower that comes with batteries? I have even thought about getting the 30 inch mower and keeping my current one for smaller areas and directly around my fence as I’ve heard that mower is a bit more difficult to maneuver.

If anyone has any advice I would love to “hear” them.

I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask this but I’m looking for bookcases to go on either side of my fireplace. I’m just not finding anything that will fit the space well.

I was thinking about asking someone local about price for them to make a set but I’ve tried searching and I’m only coming up with contractors and handyman companies. Can someone give some guidance on better searching/finding? I’m in East TN area if that helps.
