Do democratic men exist?

I chose to word this ignorantly because I know it’s an ignorant question, but tbh I don’t come across any male people in my day to day life that I could sincerely assume vote democrat. And appearances can be deceiving and all that but…

All the men in my family are republican, all the men I work with are republican. Men who are strangers to me say republican things like its good small talk. The only place I ever see men express leftist views is the internet.

Anyway, I know they’re out there somewhere, but they’re clearly somewhere I’m not. I just wanted to spark a conversation.

Question for lesbians who have gotten IVF-

I posted this on the actual lesbians sub and it was auto removed so I’m putting it here. It was probably more appropriate to put it here anyway. I didn’t want to rewrite it so I’m just letting you know why it sounds like that.

Also, the title used to be “Question for lesbians who have been pregnant” which is far more accurate and all encompassing, but I changed it because idk if thats what the filter thought was sus?

I need to mentally lay to rest an argument I had with my brother years ago that I just remembered for some reason.

We were binge watching New Girl over quarantine. There’s a scene where a lesbian character gets IVF and is then suddenly attracted to Schmidt, stating that she needs to get away from him because “I may be gay but these pregnancy hormones sure aren’t”

I immediately think to myself that there’s no way this is a phenomenon in real life, right? And my brother at the same moment (drunkenly) goes, “Whooahhh that makes a lot of sense”. He said it made sense for the hormones to push her to get a guy who can protect her and the baby.

I don’t have the vocab to describe why that annoyed me but for lack of better words I think it’s pretty… male centered? To think that even lesbians, who are the only people in the world that don’t need/want men in that way, have an exception to that rule. But I also understand that hormones are crazy and weirder things have happened.

Anyways, sorry I infiltrated your space. I looked for an r/ask-lesbians but couldn’t find one. I’m hoping you’ll see the humor in this, or that even if you don’t you’ll at least get satisfaction from brutally myth busting it.
