Pool heat pump freezes up when "off"

This was my pool heat pump after being at "off" (braker still on, but machine turned off) for 4 days. It constantly does this, even when it’s very hot outside. When I turn it on, it does the defrost correctly, but last year, it stayed at "off" for like 2 weeks and it froze the whole thing. The fan couldn’t move, because there was too much ice. I had to remove the ice myself.

Is it normal for the heat pump to freeze when at off for multiple days? It seems like the machine constantly generates cold air when at off, so if there’s water, it freezes.

It’s a Nirvana NE55 for an 18’ above ground pool.

I guess I did the rookie mistake on my first pool opening ever: reversed the pipes on sand filter. How bad did I mess up?

I bought this pool last year, so this summer was my first opening. I did it on my own, and messed it up lol. Put the pump pipe into the return and the return into the pump. I ran the filter in filtration mode like this for a week before fixing it. Then, I started a backwash for like 3 minutes, it went well. The water became clean in the little observation glass. But then, I ran the rinse mode and a lot of filtering glasses are exiting through the waste. Is it normal? Is it cleaning the pipes or am I getting all my filtering glasses out?
