Should I stop following a walkthrough?

I'm playing Elden Ring for the first time. I started following a walkthrough because I was getting lost a lot at the beginning.

I'm around this point on the map now and I'm thinking about exploring on my own.

I don't want to miss important bosses, side quests or areas, but I'm okay with missing some things and doing them in a second playthrough.

Would you recommend exploring freely from here? Any advice?

Just started Bo7

I wasn't gonna play COD this year, since BO6 left me with 0 hope for this franchise, but I've seen lots of people play BO7 and say it's actually decent, I started yesterday, currently LVL 50, with the meta weapons maxed out, looking for people to play ranked or help me get the start.

Europe (Spain Time) was Crimson 2 on BO7, Crimson 3 on MW3.

Failed AZ-305 by 92 points (608/700)

Background: junior sysadmin, around 5 months in the field, no real cloud experience yet.

Spent two weeks grinding a 20-hour Udemy course (which I do not recommend at all) and only touched John Savill's study cram and Tutorials Dojo in the last few days. Big mistake. The Udemy course felt productive at the time but ate the prep window I should have spent on practice tests.

For anyone starting prep now: skip the long courses. Savill + TD is all you really need.

Any tips for the retry? Specifically interested in:

- How long did you wait before booking again?

- Anything beyond TD you'd recommend?

- Did you change strategy or just grind more of the same?

Thanks.

New on Upwork with a sysadmin/cloud profile

20yo Sysadmin L2 at a Barcelona MSP. Stack: Azure, M365, Entra ID, Kubernetes, Terraform, Proxmox. Just started Upwork as a side hustle for portfolio, reviews and extra cash. Rates at $22-25/h.

Sent a handful of proposals in my stack, no bites yet.

Questions for people who made it work:

  1. Realistic timeline to first 3 reviews?
  2. Does Project Catalog bring clients before you have a track record, or is it dead weight?
  3. Plus subscription worth keeping past month 1?
  4. What actually moved the needle for you: better cover letters, lower price, niche positioning, video intro?

Not looking for "just keep applying". Want to know if this is realistic or if my hours are better spent on LinkedIn / direct outreach.

AZ-305 next Tuesday, does Tutorials Dojo actually reflect the exam?

I'm doing the AZ-305 next week. So far I've been through John Savill's study cram and I'm grinding section-based practice tests on Tutorials Dojo.

A few questions for anyone who's recently passed:

  1. How close is Tutorials Dojo to the real thing? Is the difficulty and style representative, or is it harder/easier than the actual exam?

  2. Anything else you'd recommend at this stage? I've got about 4 days left and I want to spend them well.

  3. Is MS Learn actually usable during the exam, or is the time pressure too tight to bother opening it?

Appreciate any input.

Nuevo en Ingeniería Informática UOC (vengo de ASIX). ¿Cómo es el ritmo real?

¡Buenas!

¡Muchas gracias!
