If Maresca really leaked the City offer himself, thats a terrible first impression

A journalist has claimed Maresca told a few friends about the City offer before Guardiola had announced he was leaving, and that the news then spread.
No major outlet has independently confirmed that chain of events, so the “if true” part matters a lot here.
But if it did happen, thats such a strange way to enter one of the biggest jobs in football. Succession plans are basically the one thing you keep quiet until the outgoing manager and club are ready.
I wouldnt blame City’s later results on one leak. The professionalism part would bother me way more.
