Free-styling in the kitchen this evening to use up leftover (Canadian) Thanksgiving ham.

Ham, squash, tart apples (from our tree), and rice in a velvety broth seasoned with sage and thyme.

This soup was completely delicious and felt like a warm hug on our first snow day of the season!
