Hey everyone. I’m 17 and really interested in trying MUN because I enjoy public speaking and conferences, but I honestly have no idea where to start. I’ve never participated before and most MUNs I find are expensive.
Does anyone know good places to start online for free or low cost? Also how did you guys learn research, debating and procedures as beginners? I mainly want experience, exposure and confidence building. Any advice would really help.
I recently wrote the SRMJEEE Phase 1 exam and got around 4,000 rank. With this rank, I’m currently eligible for CSE at KTR campus.
I heard scholarships are usually given for ranks below 2,000, so I’m planning to write Phase 2 to try and improve my rank. But I have a doubt:
If I write Phase 2 and end up getting a worse rank like 5k or 6k, will I still be able to keep/get the same KTR CSE seat based on my Phase 1 rank? Or is there a chance the seats might get filled by then because Phase 2 counseling happens later?
Would really appreciate if someone who knows the SRM counseling process could clarify this.
Helo I’m planning to join and I wanted to know whether SRM offers international exposure opportunities for students... like are there any international internships, exchange programs, global immersion programs, study abroad opportunities, competitions, conferences or programs where students are taken abroad for internships or exposure?
I also wanted to know how the clubs and student communities are in SRM. Are they active and actually useful for networking, building connections, entrepreneurship, public speaking, leadership, exposure, etc....?
Can students genuinely build a good network there and meet ambitious people? How is the entrepreneurship culture overall and does SRM provide good exposure through events, clubs, internships, and collaborations?
Would really appreciate honest insights from current students :)
