Which SEO tasks are actually worth automating in 2026?

AI has made it much easier to automate parts of SEO, but I'm curious where people are drawing the line.

Things that seem relatively easy to automate:

  • Technical SEO checks
  • Finding broken links and indexing issues
  • Keyword grouping
  • Meta tag suggestions
  • Internal link suggestions
  • Content refresh recommendations
  • SEO reporting
  • Schema checks
  • Finding content gaps
  • Identifying questions people ask about a topic
  • Analyzing content for AI-search visibility

But I still think humans need to be involved when it comes to search intent, accuracy, content quality, and deciding what changes actually make sense.

I'm especially interested in AI search / AEO. Has anyone found a reliable way to measure whether their content is actually being surfaced in AI-generated answers?

What are you automating today, and what do you still prefer to do manually?

What are some reliable online stores for RYO tobacco?

I usually buy my RYO tobacco from local stores, but the selection around me is pretty limited. Sometimes they don’t have the brands or varieties I’m looking for, and the quality can be hit or miss at some of the smaller shops.

For those who roll their own, do you have any reliable online stores you recommend in the US? I’m mainly looking for a good variety, consistent quality, and reasonable prices. I’d rather order from somewhere that has a decent selection instead of driving around to different stores hoping they have what I need.

Would appreciate any recommendations or experiences with online shops.
