So I have shared that my Dad passed away in April and how I got a Lord Huron themed memorial tattoo for my Dad. Since then I had created a Spotify playlist for songs to grieve to. It’s a four-hour play list peppered with Lord Huron songs throughout (of course). I always let it play random. I received a miniature urn with my Dad’s ashes in the mail last Thursday and was feeling sad so I put in my ear buds and started my playlist and damned if Ghost on the Shore didn’t start playing. My Dad was in the Coast Guard and strongly believed in ghosts, had seen them on multiple occasions. Anyhow, I kind of felt like Dad was acknowledging his arrival or something. So, I’m not sure if it was simply coincidence or cosmic intervention but it felt appropriately fitting. Thanks, LH and Dad.

10th Anniversary Edition. Is it crazy that I want/don’t want to open it?

Husband was not chill with me hanging in our bedroom, but it has found its place in my office. It was literally the last bit of wall space I have in my office (lots of cabinets) as I’m saving the final space for my doctoral degree. I’m not gonna lie though, I thought about hanging it in that sacred spot, but honestly I worked less hard for the signed poster. 😊 I think it complements the painting well as it has its own kind of cosmic vibe. And, no, I didn’t paint it (I wish I had an ounce of that talent!!)

Was listening to some of the videos from last night’s show and I’m just in awe of how amazing their voices are!!! I got super lucky to have one of the girls I brought offer to do photos and videos so I could really lock in on the show. They were so on point and the vibe was just genuinely joyful. Truly a life-changing experience! So grateful to LH fans, the ones I met were truly lovely people. ❤️❤️

So now that it is healed, I definitely think I want to get some shading within the moon, and maybe some prickly things added to the cactus. I’ve been debating on whether to have the emerald star colored in with a green and nothing else colored. Would love to hear your thoughts

My husband and I were taking a piece of jewelry to get fixed and I saw this ring and immediately loved it but also thought it would cost thousands of dollars. When we were told the price my husband asked me if I wanted it and I’m thinking I’m spoiled, but that’s crazy to just buy me a nice piece of jewelry on a whim. My birthday is July 4th and when we walked out of the store (with the ring because he insisted) he revealed to me that he was planning to buy me piece of jewelry for my birthday but didn’t know what and I just made it easy for him! So here’s my new ring. Would love any thoughts!

I am very happy with how it turned out!

I’ve been wanting to get an LH tattoo that also incorporated some other symbolic aspects. My Dad passed away on Monday and I have been working with this tattoo idea for a month. If you want me to explain what each thing represents I can do that. Anyhow, the tattoo artist was kind enough to put the stencil on me and let me sit with it to see how I feel about it, but I’m also curious what others might think. If you don’t like it, please be kind as I am grieving.
