Laws protecting children

Laws protecting children

At one point I was following this account because the little girl is so cute. But the longer I followed the more disgusted I became with her mother. I figured out (from her bio) that she is a “child actor” and her mom uploads her eating an “after school snack” (a whole meal) in the backseat of her vehicle every day. The child is noticeably uncomfortable with her mom videoing her eating and tells her to “go drive.” She becomes quite frustrated but her mom continues to film her because it gets views. I called her out on it and my comment was deleted within seconds of me posting.

Edit: Oh, and I forgot to add, her parents are not in any of the videos. You can hear her mom’s voice but she protects her own privacy, but not her daughter’s. When I think of a child actor I think of being cast in a production, like a commercial or movie, not living everyday life. How do we stand up for children and protect their right to privacy?

Capital One credit card interest

I have just recently opened up a Capital One credit card within the last few months. I noticed on the past 2 billing cycles that I'm getting charged $40 worth of interest, even though I pay the statement balance in full. I am very confused by this. Do I need to pay off the current balance in full to avoid being charged residual interest? I don't have this issue with my other credit cards.
