32”x32” pressed flower collage - my latest

Really enjoyed this one. Challenged myself by sticking to a strict color palette. Every last flower was acquired from local flower farmers in my area, making it a bit more special for me.

"Carnival" - giclée print of my original pressed flower collage

Hi! I press all my own flowers using, slow, traditional preservation methods. Then comes collage - I want to share flower whimsy wherever I can, so while the originals are also often for sale, I create prints to be able to spread the flower power a little further.

--Archival print, derived from an original composition featuring pressed ranunculus, gerberas, roses, tulips, iris, freesia, and hydrangea. Blooms have been dried using traditional slow-pressing methods, preserving much of their color and personality as they find new life.

22”x30” on archival paper, shipped unframed. Limited edition print, signed and numbered.--

Current work in progress that now gets to live in a closet for a minute until we get along with each other again.

Here is your reminder today that if you are starting to hate something you’ve put your blood, sweat, and tears into…you probably just need to not look at it for a minute!

Wanted to share my current work in progress (Raspberry Lemonade is the working title in our house) as proof that it exists because I need a break. It has been carefully packed away (thankfully I had a GIANT flat box from a frame I ordered and was able to create a big, secure, safe place to store this upright). I’ll take it out in a week or two to finish, but I really need to stop staring at the thing. I think it’s been on my work table since March.

40”x26” is the biggest I’ve ever done. I haven’t decided if I will make prints of this yet (how many people would want something this big? I dunno) but I AM excited for the original to be done. After I have a break.

Not everyone’s style - not a minimalist with flowers by any means. I’m also trying not to think about how difficult and expensive framing will be. It’s been fun, however.

Anyway. All of you creative, colorful people. Step back when you need, find some zen, and happy flower pressing!
