[analog] Whale Collage and a question

Has anyone had success making copies of their collages and how? Mine are very messy and glossy- covered in rubber cement. The photos tend to have shine and I haven’t been able to get a print that mimics the texture and detail. Or a photo. Is it just impossible?

Fourth in my series of reimagined Bon Iver album covers. i,i felt so much more hopeful than 22, A Million. It had colour and mayhem and company. Can’t wait to continue with SABLE, fABLE next. Hope you’re all enjoying these!

Free Old Magazines in CNY [DISCUSSION]

Hello. I was told to post this here. I'm cleaning out my Grandfather's house in Central NY state (Cortland County) and he had boxes and boxes of old magazines. I already recycled some of them but I found even more. There are old National Geographic, some Life magazines from the early 90's I think, some Popular Mechanic and others I haven't even checked. There are also old local papers from the 30's and 40's and some Reader Digests from the 30's I think. Is there anyone in the area who would want them? If not, they'll be thrown out. Thanks!

[analog] I’m rusty but I just got a jackpot of discarded biology books.

I moved countries and left behind all my collage materials but my workplace here is a school and they did a huge purge of a bunch of old textbooks. I saved them from being recycled so I could cut them up! It’s a veritable treasure trove they have such lovely pictures!

New to this...how do you all prefer to adhere very thin / fragile / intricate pieces? Trying to get those poppy stems with a glue stick was a huge pain in the ass lol.

The dangers of drinking and collaging [analog]

I was going to make another concentric circle collage. Unfortunately as I was gluing the backing paper to the outermost section, the other piece came into contact with the ice cold drink I had on my desk and wicked up some of the condensation. After tearing the center piece in half out of frustration, I was inspired to embrace my mistake and wound up with this collage.
