Theory on 🪣 💂♂️ &❔
Alright so this might be a long ass post. I've read both TG series and CX within two weeks and to say I'm obsessed would be an understatement. My obsession has reached such a level that I've reread CX again immediately and I started writing theories on my favourite characters. No other story has caught my interest this far other than Black Clover, AoT and Bleach. I'm gonna write theories on Knight Bottom, Palma/Bill Morth and Azuma/Queem because they've been my most fav so far in the story. Do share your thoughts.
This one belongs to our possible time traveller Kagomura and his unintentionally intentional hand in helping Palma.
1. Reason for killing Nude: To protect Zora from weakening (saving the mark)?
To begin with, we know KB's one and only 'duty' is to protect the mark of the beast and give it to the worthy successor. So him fighting Yubiko (who's after the mark for some reason) and Batista (who we later know wanted the mark) is understandable. Let's say he did not want Yamato Mori to learn about the location of the fields and he was trying to protect Zora from weakening, which otherwise would ultimately lead to her death and end of the mark, so he had to kill Nude. However, we see in his fight against Batista that he was there to only protect the mark and not Zora. He doesn't care if she's weak or not, he's ready to eliminate any threat solely for the mark and seems eager to pass it over to the successor (he seems to think she's mad too). If his goal was to protect the poppy fields and save the mark then he definitely should've gone after Tokio's team when they went to the island but let's assume he had no clue about Palma being there or YM learning about the location, but wouldn't this cancel out the time-travelling theory?
2. Reason for killing Nude: To help Yamato Mori in burning the fields?
If he were Kagomura from the future and did want the fields to be scorched then why did he kill Nude? KB was already waiting for Nude in the alley. If he is a time traveller who wants to help YM in scorching the fields (so that they could fight against Zora) couldn't he just simply let Nude go and get caught by Tokio? Or I don't maybe just hurt him enough to knock him unconscious so that Tokio could catch him? But all Nude's chopped up body did was free Palma. YM held her in their custody for her crimes and only released her/started using her abilities because she was needed by them. It was only possible due to Nude's death.
3. Who is he?
It feels like his reason for killing Nude wasn't exactly to save the fields but also not only to help Yamato Mori. The entire scenario was like he was mainly helping Palma.
Kagomura: Now he could be Simon from the future who knows about the Calamity. He must've killed Nude so that Palma would be free because she might've played a key role in stopping the Calamity. And also he belongs to the sword clan. And also because he is the one who understood if the mark stays then the choujin stay too.
Tokio: I personally think he might be Tokio because KB has a half-black and half-white heal-block sword. There's so much mystery around Tokio's powers because we never really see him go crazy during chaos state. I mean the first time we see him in choas, it was during his fight against Azuma and even when he used harpe, he wasn't trying to kill him. He was able to beastify and use his wings to save him despite the state. Even during the second time, he only went after Batista. By the third time, he mastered it already. I wonder if his chaos state is really supposed to be the real choas one. I mean isn't it weird how every one who's been shown to enter chaotic thoughts were just going around killing everyone around them and they were drained by the time they came out of it but with Tokio, we don't see that at all. And the fact that he can hear chaotic thoughts of others and even sense their presence makes me think his true powers are yet to be understood. Which is why I think that time traveller might be Tokio (who might have gained the pet, the white part of the sword and the holy flame powers later in the timeline) and it makes sense that he'd try to save Palma. Since, he promptly considered Nude's death as an opportunity in the main timeline much like Sato.
Bill Morth or Shishinegura: This might sound crazy but there's a reason why I think he might not be a time traveller but someone actually related to Palma. I won't go into the details in this post because it'll become super long but I also sort of have a theory that Mr. Shishinegura might or might've been Bill Morth. But I'm more inclined to the theory that they aren't the same and that KB could be Bill Morth, Shishinegura is still alive and might be Nomnimer. I'll talk about Palma's powers too in a different post.
- What is the connection between KB and Mark?
After reading the fight between Yubiko and KB and the subsequent 'dream' of Chandra's, I came to this realisation that the Mark might be something entirely different than what we thought. In the last line he says to Yubiko that he will never 'hand over' the mark like he's the one who's in control of it like he knows what the mark really is. And what Chandra had wasn't actually a premonition but it was Sora telepathically communicating with him. She has the ability to communicate through images (it was what she used to show Tokio, Ely and Azuma the vision of dark calamity). She was trying to tell him "The Mark..." and we were shown the next scene. "Please Hume that is not" and her head was cut off. Now I don't want to make assumptions but it was like the vow renouncing war kind of situation in AoT where members of royal blood couldn't fully use founder's powers or even talk about it. And that shadowy figure is suspicious too. There were feathers when her head was cut off. We learn in the double spread that what she shared with him was the vision of soldiers, planes, tower, smoke, something like sun? And some weird snake? Or was it land? It definitely felt like she trying to tell him something about the mark.
Doubling down to what the heck Mark even is:
All this time (as far as I understood) I thought mark was solely Sora's ability to grant anyone choujin powers (who'd individually manifest their abilities that they seek). I don't think it's ever mentioned where she is from and she seemed to have the sight of prophecy even before she was resurrected as a choujin through infection. What she told the trio might be the truth that Mark is the 'source' of her powers not her own power. It's smart word play. Bleach does it too with White literally saying he's zangetsu but when we realise it's true it still hits us like damnnn. I'd say she manifested her own powers due to the Mark already existing. She must've gotten the Mark from else where. It could be from Queem or someone else. It'll be interesting to see because Mark sounds like the source of Choujin X. That'd make Ely the current CX. And I wonder if Tokio, Azuma, Chandra, Jing, Tawashi, and Ice are the only ones who manifested their powers through the Mark. (Including Azuma here because I got a theory that both Queem and him got their powers from Mark too).
Someone in this sub said Bill Morth might be the first choujin and CX. I have a theory that the Mark might be his power which is the main reason why I believe KB says he'll never hand over the mark to someone who isn't worthy of it. He could also be someone related to BM. I think Yubiko's reason for wanting the mark is because she knows what it is too and she seems to have realised who KB is as well. Her thinking it's convenient Chandra thinks of him as a God makes me believe he could be CX and the only two other CX we know of are Queem and Bill Morth. But since knight bottom looks like he'd rather die than be Gueltan, I want to incline to the theory that he is BM. And also does anyone else wonder how he knew Yubiko was from Guelta? Or if she could be working for Guelta which is why she doesn't want Chandra to know? And also why couldn't Bador Vlad take the Mark and still live?
