Illum Wikkelsøe chair

Spotted a nice solid oak chair with new orange cushions. The model is called Capella chair and is one of his most famous designs. Anyone here has used it long enough to say it's comfortable or not?

When you buy something for your home, what actually decides it for you?

We are a more "sustainable" minded group, so I am very curious how you all make purchase decisions. For clothes secondhand is pretty well established, and also very accessible now. But what about other home items? Maybe there's something to learn for everyone here and options we didn't know about!

  1. What was the last thing you bought for your home and how did you decide between all alternatives?

  2. Where did you find it?

  3. Was there something you were looking for that you did not find?

Regrets are welcome too. 😄 What did you buy that you wish you hadn't, and why?

Saw a rare red Panton lamp!

Found this in a vintage store. Panthella floor lamps are only made in white now. This red is probably 50 years old now and looks so beautiful!

Thoughts on Bolia?

Does anyone here have a few years of experience with Bolia sofas? The new ones are very expensive but I regularly see them in second hand market. Wondering how they actually compare to something new from ikea at similar prices.

Tldr - second-hand bolia sofa vs new ikea sofa. What would you choose and why?
