how does the city that claims to have invented baseball not have a baseball museum

I’m pushing through paradise lost, and I was wondering if dcb ever made /or alluded to Milton in any of his music/poems? I haven’t found anything on google, and also I wouldn’t be surprised if he deliberately avoided referencing Milton, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if there are subtle references ( ie borrowed phrases)

We’ve all heard the show, don’t tell rule. But through the years I’ve started to realize: I don’t like the imagistic authors, I enjoy reading telling more than showing. Thomas Bernhard for example, or WG Sebald. I like hearing their thoughts, or how they think. I don’t like reading books where they try to make me see world, where they try to paint an environment.

Does anyone else agree? Where do you start if you‘re interested in writing as a career, but you genuinely only enjoy reading this style of writing.
