I’m from uplb. Wanted to go to ateneo talaga because my dream course is there, but my family wanted UP. Connections are strong in ateneo so I want to build it there initially but due to the circumstances, additional obstacles have emerged lol. I grew up in los banos so my connections are only up to here and calamba-sta. rosa at most. I really wanted to go to ateneo for stronger and broader connections so I need help hahaha how do I make strong connections inside admu when I’m an outsider myself🤧

Got waitlisted sa ateneo and for UP i might do the associate program muna. Ateneo is my first choice, my dream university, and the course I want is there. And though I am waitlisted, as stated, I have another choice of degpro to take sa admu.

But here’s the thing, my dad doesn’t want me(or is perhaps hesitant) to let me study sa ateneo. My family’s from elbi so:

1. he thinks it’s safer here
2. He thinks na education is better in up kasi up na yan eh.
3. expenses

Pero kasi, I want to build new and stronger connections and I think ateneo is capable of doing that for me. I also want to develop indepence which again, staying in qc may help. I agree naman, expenses are such a big factor especially sa tuition palang. My dad said na kaya naman, pero hindi siya 100% sure na aabot until I graduate kasi what if something happens daw. Ang sabi ko naman, I can apply for finaid after the first year pero idk he’s still adamant about me being in up.

also, as stated, waitlisted palang ako sa ateneo so not 100% sure na passed na talaga ako. Sa UP naman, I think my dad has connections so idk maybe that’s also why he wants me there.

Ateneo - legal management—(not necessarily as
prelaw but can do naman)
Uplb - aa entrep first then proceed to agri business

aghhhh i dont know na huhuhu. Idek if I should still pass my reqs for the waitlisted, parang nawawalan naman ako ng hope na payagan ako sa ateneo hahaha Should I still pass the reqs for ateneo? or should I js let my dad do his thing sa uplb
