"2026 is year of desktop Linux"

linux user count was close to 6% like 4 months ago, now its just 4%. while windows 11 users are increasing, even win7 users have same amount of users as some linux distros.

people were just excited to try new software: linux was never better.

Can WE quit saying this shi

[I dont know if its correct place to post it, but everyone posts sum random shi here so I think its the place]

its true that linux uses significantly less idle ram usage than windows 11 and often feels smoother on 8 gb ram systems. but the problem is not ram but the cpu, 8 gb ram systems are often paired with weak cpus, and windows 11 requires stronger cpu than any linux distro out here.

windows already frees up or moves unnecessary services to page file when something demands ram, just like macOS.

for comperasion, windows idles at 4-5 gb, macOS idles at 6-8 gb on 16 gb ram systems.

do developers hate intel arc iGPU's?

hey guys, I recently bought intel core 5 ultra 125H laptop, paired with 16 gb lpddr5x 6400 mhz ram. I tested it on Arena breakout: infinitie and it disappointed me. I only got 40-50 fps at lowest graphics, while a benchmark guy on youtube got 55-70 fps with radeon 680m paired with 4800 mhz ram, with a little worse igpu and way worse ram speed. Is this normal and will it be same forever?

POCO F7 has amazing performance & thermal control

this is geekbench 6 results of POCO F7 right after playing delta force for 2.5 hours, [Debloated] HyperOS 3 made a lot of improvements for this phone! I dodged a bullet by buying this beast over Samsung A56.
