I’m making a light control box for a tour that has 24v power out for controlling LED strips and DMX out, and I wanted to use XLR connectors for both since XLR cables can handle the current I need for the LEDs. But if I use female XLR outs for both, that means someone could easily plug a DMX fixture into the wrong plug and fry it. And if I swap the LEDs to use male XLR outs, that means someone could put their finger in the plug and get zapped, which wouldn’t injure them or anything bc of the low current but it would blow one of the fuses and you’d have to replace it. Am I better off using 4-pin XLRs or a different connector?
