Hi, I am looking to purchase a few rowing boats for a public high school in Asia. The school has limited financial resources and is unable to fund a new fleet to replace its aging boats.

Given the exchange rate, freight costs, and import duties, purchasing brand-new boats is unfortunately not financially feasible.

I understand that some schools, clubs, or rowing programs in the US, Europe, or elsewhere may periodically retire or sell their older boats. Even used boats in good condition could make a tremendous difference to this school and its rowing program.

If you know of any schools, clubs, organizations, or individuals who may be selling or donating used rowing boats, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share their contact information or point me in the right direction.

I’m not an elite runner. I picked up running this January, and I’m running my first-ever race/half marathon this weekend. I have some friends coming to see me, and the girl I’m seeing is coming too to cheer for me. Should I stop if I see them or keep running? I don’t want to be rude because they’re waking up early for me on a Saturday and making the trip to Brooklyn just to cheer for me. But I’ve also been training a lot and want to see if I can hit a sub 2 hour finish. I have seen people stopping and hugging their friends and loved ones during the race and just enjoying it. So it got me thinking ….
