How to add privacy but keep light in this space?

How to add privacy but keep light in this space?

My living room has these lovely bay windows. These blinds were installed by the previous owner and they make the room completely dark when shuttered. My street has heavy foot traffic and sometimes I wish things weren’t so visible from the outside, though I dislike sitting in a dark space more! I was thinking of getting sheer curtains or just doing window film, but I still want it to look nice. Any ideas??

EDIT: Thanks to everyone who has commented with recommendations! I used to have two huge snake plants on the sides of the window, with a big ol' monstera in the middle. I learned the hard way that they love this window most of the year, but can get scorched leaves in the summer as the window is SE facing. Which is also why I want some mild light filtering! Maybe even sheer fabric on the side windows to prevent constant direct, afternoon sunlight on the plants...
