Biore sunscreen

Hello, i just saw that there's a new product from chemist warehouse : biore sunscreen. I normally bought some from Japan and excited to know i can buy locally. But anyone here had tried it and can share their experience?

Interesting to see they have regular and also glowy effect. Which one do you recommend as base for long lasting make up?

Thank you!

Kia EV9, are you happy with it?

Hi all,

Anyone here own Kia EV9 Air?

what's your experience in terms of car's performance, service requirement and customer satisfaction?

This model seems to be very appealing to us as we primarily are looking for 7 seater and not many out there with less than luxury car tax bracket and with full fbt benefit. We managed to get a reasonable deal through company'a novated lease however we're stuck now as there is no option to test drive, it is quite frustrating. It is a big purchase and we at least want to see the product.

We live in Sydney and when we called the branch they said the car is made to order, it is 6 month waiting time and no test drive available. What's your approach on this? We hadnt looked for a car for the past 11years so we're so fresh in the market. Our current car is Mazda 3 sedan, but our family is growing hence looking for 7 seaters. Also wanting full EV, as we have solar+battery at home so want to maximise the use of the system.

TIA

Local Council Job Fair 2026

Hi all,

I saw this job fair hosted by Hurstville local council (South Sydney) next week, and it piques my interest.

What is your advice on this kind of event? I plan to go, talk to recruiters or even team members there, perhaps bring copies of my resume however how am i taylor my resume so it looks relevant?

As background, I am female had construction/energy background. I once also worked at the ex government company (now privatised), and tempted by a colleague to join her team in private, i moved under her team. I didn't realise how stressful it is now that I have a young family to take care and also my health took unprecendented turn so I'm thinking of exploring jobs that have better life balance.

Appreciate for your advice.

Thank you!

Citizenship application by conferral

Hi all.

I have RRV 155, married to a citizen and have a kid who has her citizenship by descent.

I submitted my application for citizenship by conferral, realising I should've submitted my marriage cert, husband and daughter's passports. Would this cause an issue?

Just hoping i can add attachment later on, at the moment I'm still waiting for the payment to go through (via bpay). Anyone got any advice?

Thanks.

How involved should I be with work events after work hour?

I just joined a company, a senior title but noone under me and just directly reporting to the Head of the team. It is a medium sized company and the structure is pretty flat. I used to report to another middle manager which I get a long super well, know well of my conditions etc but he just recently made redundant. Quite a bit of people I know and talked in the office occassionally were made redundant. Honestly it is a strange time.

Anyway, they started doing this monthly company event where we all pay ourselves, after work hour, from last December.

I like people in the company, mostly are responsive, and professional.

But as a mum with Lupus and of a young one(2 yo), honestly I'm virtually so tired.

I'm also a bit of an introvert truthfully speaking, and prefer to recharge at home with my bub n husband.

For most of the part my Head of the team will be present at those events while colleagues at my level is 50:50. Among 40 people, you'd have 10-15 people who attended normally. Generally the mix of attendees are mostly those who had no kids, possibly 3 people with kids, mix, male and female. Their kids are already 7yo or 8, I talked to them ocassionally when we pass by in the kitchen for water or tea.

My principal is.. I would attend anything, eventhough I'll have to pay myself for event that is within work hour. However the events are so far after work hour.

What would most mum think of these events? If I were childless I think I'd be more keen to go. But I feel that I need to be home, help around with child caring as my husband is already doing a lot, ie. Cooking, child drop off n pick up etc at least I could go home and feed bub n let hubby to have a little break break before je continues to put bub to sleep. At night we are each other support all we have, noone else.

Maybe I'm posting this because I feel a little fomo, I wish i could go out and bond with others but I hardly have the energy to go out at night let alone with my husband (we're trying.. to do lunch date again..ocassionally.)
