I just had Carrara marble installed in my kitchen and I'm fully aware of etching with acid, vinegar, etc., However, there are water rings coming up really quickly after a cup is set down for 3-5 mins. They do go away and dry out, but this seems strange and I haven't noticed this on other marble kitchens I've been in. Doesn't sealing typically help with this?
I am having a hard time figuring out what to do for tile on two of the three walls in my kitchen. For the long wall with the sink, we will be doing 3x6 white subway tile all the way to ceiling. I'm struggling what to do with these other walls when it comes to how to finish the sides. We are planning to also use subway 3x6 white field tile, but because the countertops do not run flush to the trim, it leaves a 1 inch gap, meaning we will have to bull nose or pencil trim the side and leave a little bit of space. It's feeling awkward to me and I'm thinking of doing no backsplash on the wall that has the fridge. Thoughts? Adding a photo from chat gpt to show what i'm talking about
Currently doing a kitchen remodel and the hardwood floor installed goes all the way to the wall in some places and not in others. Is this normal? They are also leaving the filler / putty as is and we are placing cabinets over it. Seems unfinished.
We got new white oak 3/4 solid wood floors installed in our kitchen and had them feathered in with our existing floors. We are going to refinish all of the floors to have them match. However, is this height difference between the new and old really off?
