This blue morpho looked almost unreal.

I photographed it in Maratopia, near Puerto Limón, on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. The color is hard to describe when you see it in real life — it almost flashes through the air like a little piece of blue light.

Costa Rica has many beautiful animals, but seeing a morpho up close is something special.

I photographed this sloth at Maratopia, and I still love how peaceful it looks. No rush, no stress, just hanging there like it has life completely figured out.
