Hi all. I watched the original Birth of a Nation recently, and was fascinated by it, but also turned off by the absolute racist sentiments. So I decided to do a less - racist cut, but am unsure how to approach it. How would you do this?

There are a bunch of posts defending/refuting abortion, but one thing I've found is that it starts okay, then turns to "Anybody who disagrees is a misogynistic muffin-sucker!" Now, can't we avoid this and just lay out all the facts, and have a reasonable debate?

P.S. I'm pro-life, just in case anyone was wondering.
