You can end any one 'custom'

This is admittedly vague, but it was inspired by two things.

  1. I hear about how much people hate small talk, so wouldn't it be interesting if you could erase the concept of small talk?

  2. I hate the idea of overpriced weddings and engagements, wouldn't it be nice if I could erase that custom?

Of course given how broad the term 'custom' is I'm curious what creative interpretations people here would 'remove'

Basically, the concept of that 'custom' will have never existed, no one except you will remember it having ever existed, this is absolutely exploitable.

However, the custom could re-emerge naturally over time (or quickly if you erase something common sense).

[1E] What are some houserules you've enjoyed?

I'm going to be GMing our party's next campaign and I thought I'd add a houserule or two just to spice things up, not too many because I don't want to go overboard.

We have a small number we use already but I feel most of those are fairly common (don't track gold weight, don't track nonmagical ammunition, we also recently started using the 'elephant in the room' rules) and I don't plan on changing those.

I was thinking about a houserule that nat 20s can bypass miss chance.
