How do you actually decide how much to feed your German Shepherd? The bag amounts never seem to add up

My guy is about 65 lbs, and the bag says something like 3 to 5 cups a day, which is a huge range. Vet said to go more by body condition since he's neutered and pretty active, but that still feels like guessing every time I fill the bowl.

Started looking into why the bag ranges are so vague and apparently even a properly calculated number can be off by 30 to 40 percent per dog just from normal metabolism differences. Kind of made me feel better about not getting it perfect, but also made me realize most of us are probably just eyeballing it.

How do you all figure out portions, straight off the bag, watching body condition, something else? Found a calculator that breaks down the math but I'm not sure how much it correlates with reality.

How much do you guys feed your fluff?

Is this feeding chart accurate?

So I've been going back and forth on how much to feed my dane and honestly google is useless, every site says something different. Found this chart and it seems reasonable but idk, some of the amounts look low to me? especially for the 6-12 month range.

My guy is 5 months and already a tank, hard to believe he only needs that much. What are you guys actually feeding yours daily? Do you go by the bag instructions or something like this?

Agencies who've built stuff like NYT's Snow Fall: how deep does the rabbit hole go, budget-wise?

I was checking this article and two pages that caught my attention:

The Guardian Firestorm: https://www.theguardian.com/world/interactive/2013/may/26/firestorm-bushfire-dunalley-holmes-family

The New York Times' "Snow Fall": https://www.nytimes.com/projects/2012/snow-fall/index.html#/?part=tunnel-creek

In terms of time and money, what's a realistic range needed for an agency to create something like this and how much does it take from idea to finalizing it?

I'm not sure if this will be perceived as spammy or not, but I've seen a lot of newcommers taking a shot at Docker here so I thought this cheat sheet might come in handy.
