One of my favorite things about the show and something I think sets the show apart is Hannah and Allie, their friendship and also just the way they are written as individual characters. Louisa seems to really understand her female characters and takes care with their development and their interactions with other women. The way the ‘puck bunnies’ were portrayed was so well done, loved that Kendall was kind to Hannah and vice versa. Allie was super sweet to the girls Dean hooked up with…and then of course the relationship between Hannah and her mom 🥹 it just made me so happy. It seems like the creators/writers really value portraying healthy, supportive relationships between women.

The off campus/Briar U/Campus Diaries books have some great fmc’s with varied personalities and I’m just so excited to see what Louisa and the writers do with each of them! I really hope we get to see Brenna and Demi, especially.

These two are honestly my favorite female characters on a tv show in a LONG time! I think their friendship being so pure and solid is a reason the show is doing so well. Like yes, the boys are sexy and the romance is great, but for me a big part of getting attached to a show is being able to connect with the female leads and be invested in their characters. Even better when they have a friendship like Hannah and Allie, separate from their romances, with no drama or love triangles.

this post is for people who love The Play!!! I know I know, it’ll prob be several years before we get Hunter/Demi BUT Since Hunter has already been introduced, I can’t help thinking about how good this adaptation could be…like there are so many funny moments I think would translate well on screen??

• the scene where they get pulled over and Demi’s head is in his lap 😭

• scene where Demi is throwing Nico’s stuff out the sorority house window

• the Pablo eggscobar saga

• Demi’s love of true crime

• Demi’s entire personality, like if they get the casting right she will be soooo fun to watch

• the salsa dancing sceeeeeene omg it’s a must

Also I need Demi and Allie to be friends ughhh I think they’d be so fun together!!
