im lowkey a begginer nd kinda suck at scripting but making a game has always been a dream of mine so im free balling it alone. all the scripting, art, dialouge and even music in this game will be made by me and i want to see on what feedback ill get on the visuals while its in early early development

Advance dialouge with modal

I am a begginer to coding so sorry if this is a dumb question
I recently figured out how to use the modal thingy that makes it so that you dont click anything underneath the screen (sorry I cant explain it really good English isn't my first language)
But with modal I cant advance thru the other parts of the dialouge and it only shows me the first part of it, not letting me click to advance the dialouge
Is there any way to fix this but also keep the things that modal does when its set to true?

I have a screen, that is sort of like a laptop
And inside of it there are multiple different imagebuttons that lead to different pop up websites and files and such
The issue is that everytime I load up my game, one of the files overshadows the main laptop screen and dosent work as intended
Is there any way to fix this?

In my visual novel, I have made alot of different screens with image buttons and such
It all works as intended, expect for this one thing
If you click anywhere on the background it just skims thru and read out all the labels that can only be accessed if you click the specific item that the label is attached to
Is there any way I can make it so that, I can only read the text if I interacted with the item?
It's not a big issue but it just makes my game feel cheap and messy

ive been having trouble with the namebox and name label for like a while now. the thing is, everytime i try to move JUST the name (the text) the namebox behind it moves alongside it.
i just want to center the name of the character in the middle so it looks nice, is there any way to do this without moving the namebox?
