what should i expect?

i’m a teacher and I got hired as a part-time cashier, my availability is only weekends and nights on weekdays. I’ve read on here that you hardly get hours, with my availability being limited during the week am I going to have a hard time getting hours?

follow up question to my last post.

hey all, feel free to go on my page and read my last post so you guys have some background a serious supervision Incident occurred, and I got fired for it.

I contacted my boss and asked her if this is something that is going to affect me working in childcare or any future employment jobs and she said that she asked licensing personally and they said that I would not pass a cmc as of this moment because it’s in open investigation, I decided to request a cmc on myself and it came back clear (i passed). I guess I’m just wondering if I am able to secure a job in childcare with an active investigation going on? I can’t sit around for months unemployed, waiting for an answer and to be contacted by dhs and I’m really only qualified for childcare. fast food and retail won’t interview me and I don’t have the time nor the money to spend 6-12 months getting certified in something to make some decent money when it’s gonna be something I’m not even passionate about. but if childcare is going to be out of the question, then I need to get a move on.

oh and cmc- child maltreatment check

i’m in arkansas if this is any help at all

i’ve already accepted i’m going to get fired, but am i going to be banned from childcare?

hey all, i never thought id be making a post like this, this happened yesterday and i still cant even process it.

one of my toddlers got left alone for 20 minutes outside strapped into the buggy, before this happened she was not in the buggy and a floater came to give me a bathroom break and then another floater arrived who is mainly in my class while i was in the bathroom and when i came back the first floater who came out came inside to go help another class and then the floater who was outside told me to go inside because kids were spilling stuff and i hadn’t even made it out the door yet before a kid ran inside along with a few others and i couldn’t leave them so she was in charge of getting everyone in while i got the kids inside transitioned and ready for breakfast. i’m definitely to blame because i should’ve done a headcount and i logged her breakfast but i don’t do it individually for each kid i just put what’s for breakfast on the app which i now realize i should not do no matter what.

im on administrative leave as of yesterday, im in a messy situation. im heartbroken for the student, because how did i not notice and why didn’t i just do a headcount. the transition inside is not how it normally goes i normally come out and gather everyone because of a student who likes to elope and hide and that couldn’t happen because of the kids who ran inside and because of the sudden transition. my boss said they would be contacting me and it’s all up to maltreatment hotline at this point and dhs

im missing some details in this but if i wrote everything this would take 10 minutes to read so feel free to ask questions.

update- i got fired.

what is montessori?

hello!! i’ve seen lots of preschools in my area advertise strongly that they are montessori based.. i’ve looked it up and got some insight but i’m still confused.

my daughter is only 5 months but i’m looking to get her on waitlisted now for some preschools for when she’s older, so teachers and parents what is your experience with montessori and how is it different from a regular preschool

sorry if this is a stupid question lol
