So, I think the teaser confirms Gil-galad will go to Númenor, and Círdan has his beard again!

It's not much, but I'll take it. I think he's in Rivendell here? Or perhaps this is Númenor. It has to be Númenor.

So, I imagine they'll share more pictures tomorrow, perhaps another one with Galadriel? Maybe Elrond could be next as well since he was mentioned in their article? I think they also mentioned Khazad-dûm and Númenor.

Will they release more exclusives after the teaser trailer on Friday? I honestly can't wait.

He still has some parts of Halbrand and Annatar, but my god his energy feels quite different.

It's just one picture, but I like how we can see both Halbrand's playfulness and Annatar's cruelty openly in his face. The stubble (it's stubble yes?) and pointy ears are interesting details. I'm curious to see if his voice will change as well.

It's a subtle difference, but I like how clearly restrained and guarded Galadriel was in the first season while she showed more openness in the second season through her eyes, processing the hurt that she tried to hide all these years.

Kudos to Morfydd Clark and her expressive eyes!

Season 1 started with Galadriel jumping in the water with her dagger, and it ended with her emerging from the Glanduin with her dagger.

Season 2 began with Elrond jumping away with the rings, and Galadriel did the same with her ring in the last episode.

I'm not sure if these repeated actions were done on purpose, but I find them visually compelling, and I'm a bit curious to see if they'll continue this little pattern in the next season.

Season 2 was written with season 1 freshly in mind, so we didn't get to see them talk as much (for example Gil-galad made Elrond commander off screen) because they had to react fast to Sauron's return.

In the first season, there was some deception clouding their interactions, which is why I hope we'll get some kind of development about these two, especially with a time jump having been established.

We know that he will have dark hair in the next season, but what about his eyes? Will they keep using the blue contact lenses for Annatar, or will they only change his eyes when Sauron uses his powers, for an incantation, when making the One?

It's a very small detail, but it's interesting how Eärendil's ears are completely covered in Númenor, but you can see one of his ears on the map in Lindon (episode 2x02), and it's pointy.

Elros is depicted with Elven ears in the Hall of Lore, but I wonder if that is still the case outside of that building (still standing thanks to Tar-Palantir). I really hope we'll get some flashbacks.

I hope they'll get to share a scene in the next season, but until then, I miss them, especially when they could still lightly banter like this. Their comedic chemistry was flawless.

I know they can't directly adapt The Silmarillion, but I'll take this moment as a subtle nod to the excerpt in which Finrod tells Galadriel that he knows he will die and go 'into darkness'.

Elves mourn, their grief is always deep, and their immortality doesn't lessen it, but I hope this will be brought up again in the show, especially to further show why Ar-Pharazôn and some in Númenor resent Elves, and how they have more to lose in the war with the Gift of Men being a complete mystery to them.

I would love to get a teaser trailer now, but since I can't have it, I watched their fights again, and I couldn't help but compare these similar shots, and how they fit together.

Galadriel accused Sauron of having lied at all times with his illusions, but he answered truthfully when he said he saw no difference between saving or ruling. It's a horrible truth, but the truth nonetheless.

They released the one picture with Sauron, so naturally discussions are mostly about his One ring, but I hope they'll reveal something about Galadriel as well through their first teaser. How is she handling the power of Nenya, and how is she acting during the war against Sauron? Will the Elves be very secretive about their rings towards Númenor?

I look forward to the way he will have reclaimed his crown, an object that had previously harmed/delayed his rise to power.

Charlie Vickers teased that Sauron will wear a big crown, so I'm curious to see how often he will have it on, clinging to Morgoth's symbol of absolute tyranny.

It's more obvious now after season 2, but it's funny how baffled Sauron looked while feigning weakness when Theo changed the chant from 'strength to the king' to 'strength to the Southlands'.

(I was under the impression Theo could maybe become a Nazgûl because he was once tempted by dark power, but Sauron doesn't like him very much. Then again, Sauron dislikes almost everybody, so...)
