Unpopular Opinion: I liked how Rue's death was made.
No, I don't like that Rue's dead. I was actually surprised and did not expect it at all. And as I paused watching the S3 finale to soak it all in, I realized how I liked how Rue's death was made and how her scenes with Alamo connected to it.
- Alamo is always playing with luck onRue's death. from shooting apple to the head, to hitting her head while buried (wth right!?), to giving laced pills to Rue. Alamo's not sure if Rue's actually gonna consume it. So I think there's Rue's luck being played too. I think that's good writing.
- Alamo is shown to not react when Maddy mentioned "DEA", and I guess thats part of the play that makes Rue's death unexpected! (at least for me) but yea, Alamo is smart af and always one step ahead.
- While Rue is high and dying: She saw two people she really cared about: Fez and her Mom. I think that's how people die right? You get a glimpse of your loved ones, your hopes.
- Rue died while on Ali's house: so I guess theres a foreshadowing there.. As shown in Ali's story, most if not all Ali's encounter dies. Just like Rue.
So there! I haven't finished the finale lol, just sharing this thought! :)
