Upgraded the trek to a Foz today!

I was perfectly content in my ‘23 trek but life very quickly changed and I needed space (translation: I got a giant breed puppy and she already was squished in the trunk) so went in and traded up.

Funny enough, I wasn’t supposed to have an onyx sport…was supposed to have a premium but they reserved one in the wrong interior color and couldn’t source one easily. This beauty was on the lot and we agreed to let me take this for my previous agreement. It actually worked out to be a little less! So here’s Luna 🌙

How much did yours weigh at 6 months old?

Miss proper little lady here is pushing 80lbs, curious to see what others were at this age! She’s a fiend for blueberries, carrots, yogurt, and leaves off the ground 🍃 lol

We’re working on not barking at dogs, she doesn’t realize she doesn’t need to speak up to make friends. Wants to play but her barking turns them (and their owners) off!

Teething Options for Giant Breeds?

My Saint bernard is starting to lose her baby teeth - I already do frozen carrots for chewing options and I’m freezing a washcloth as well. She doesn’t want a bone unless it’s a real animal one (beef tendon, collagen, etc.) and the three teething toys I’ve bought so far have been absolute duds. The other options I’ve looked into are all way too small for her lol (we’re approaching 50lbs and almost 5 months!)

Giardia is really screwing up our socialization plans

My Saint Bernard is almost 18 weeks now. She was treated for Giardia right after I got her, we tested her two weeks post finishing medication and she came up positive still. We’re thinking it’s a false positive because she’s asymptomatic.

My problem is, because of the Giardia she hasn’t been socialized with dogs besides being in their vicinity at work (she is kenneled at my job in the dog ward and there’s usually other dogs in cages there.) Can’t go to daycare, puppy classes, puppy social hour, nothing. She ADORES people and isn’t afraid of anyone. But she uses her voice first to get a dog’s attention (like we’ll be on a walk and she will bark and have ‘tornado tail’ playful wagging, not aggressive wagging) and I don’t want it to turn into reactivity once she’s finally cleared.

TLDR anyone have tips on how to help with dog socialization while still coming up Giardia positive?
