acc flagged for scam.
have anybody had the same issue i have here? This is the message i have sent to steam support team.
Hi,
I’m having an issue with a warning on my Steam account saying that my account has been involved in a possible scam.
The warning appears as a pop-up inside the Steam client on my home PC. It says that my account has been flagged for possible scam activity and that I need to contact Steam Support. There is a link in the warning that says “Contact Steam Support”.
I have already contacted Steam Support and someone helped me with the issue. I thought the problem had been resolved because when I later checked my account on my mobile phone using 5G, I could access the Community Market and sell items without any problems.
However, when I got home and logged into the same account on my home PC, the exact same warning appeared again and the restrictions were back.
I also tested Steam on a PC at work, and the warning does not appear there.
Because the problem seems to occur only when I use my home PC/home network, I’m wondering whether this could be related to my IP address or something specific to my home network or PC.
There is also something confusing about the support tickets. When I go to Steam Support → My Steam Tickets inside the Steam client, I only see this current ticket. However, when I click the “Contact Steam Support” link directly from the warning message, it takes me to what appears to be a different support ticket/page.
To be very clear: all of this is happening inside the official Steam client, not on a website.
Could you please check whether the warning is actually applied to my Steam account, and whether there is any reason why it would only appear when I’m using my home PC/home network?
i have attcehed a screenshot og the warning. the warning is displayed on Norwegian because that is the language my Steam client is set to
Thank you.
