Matias Lindfors Short Programme 2026/2027

sorry for the instagram thing on the side, it wouldnt let me download it so i had to screen record from his team

i know a few people who will appriciate seeing the full programme, i personally think its beautiful and worth watching by everyone, definitely did not disappoint!!

its a bonus it had clean jumps too though it doesnt really matter with his gorgeous skating, plus his knee signature spin is back too! 🙏

not sure what flair to give this, please lmk if this is wrong and ill update !

How are skates fitted in there is a large difference in shoe size?

Hello, i have a leg disability which results in one of my feet being smaller than the other (about 2cm ish length ways, the width is more or less the same) i was wondering how this would effect skate fitting and specifically rentals. ive never skated before, always wanting to but never been allowed to by doctors so my parents want me to go on rentals before i get my own. (my leg functions more or less the same, i lack ankle mobility and have difference in muscle mass but otherwise its all fine)

What are they going to do? Im pretty sure thats a difference of a few skate sizes, so do they just give me one thats smaller or do they just add some paper or smth into it cause i presume that would effect my balance by a significant amount and would probably be a bit dangerous though with one being smaller would probably do the same.

Also how would actual skates be fitted? I presume with that the boots would be different and the blades the same, can someone explain if they have any knowledge? Thank you!!

(based in UK if relevant)

Spread eagles without leaning forward

I was recently watching some junior tournament and was shocked at how far back Andrei Mozalev lent back on his outside spread eagle, one of my favorite skaters anyway but i never quite realised how far back he lent compared to other skaters, as many lean forward and have a weak outside edge. After paying more attention to this and watching more of his programmes i found multiple that are further back than this with arm variations or an edge transition (inside to outside) with both absurd angles and it got me wondering

How many other skaters lean this far back and have a good edge?

Is it a common thing, especially with arm variations?

Im new ish to skating and havent watched many from over 5 years ago so im quite uneducated on so i thought i would ask if anyone knows any other crazy outside edge spread eagles with a deeper angle. (as its one of my favourite choreo/transition moves) I know Petr Gumennik has a good edge but he often leans slightly forward, the only others ive found are Sota Yamamoto and obviously Jonathan Cassar with his inside edge one.

Overall how difficult is it to achieve these with such a crazy angle without leaning forwards or being more upright?

(an example of leaning forward would be Matias Lindfors on his Color Me short programme in Tallinn or Vladislav Dikidzhi in his interstellar short programme)

(the image attatched isnt the best example but i cannot screenshot on my computer, if anyone wants me to find the specific examples i can try and find the programmes and link them, i know Andrei also has a few videos on his instagram of some crazier ones than the attached image. I looked on the search bar for examples but it only came up with help for achieving them or links and images i couldnt access lol. Sorry for the yap!)
