Script Extender crashes randomly in fight

My friend and I play with mods that require Script Extender. Everything was fine until the end of Act 2, but then this happened. Whenever I use an ability (whether modded or vanilla, or who uses it), the game crashes with this error. At first, it crashed for both my friend and me, but now, after switching to Arx, it only happens to me or him. I can't find a crash dump and don't understand what's causing the crashes. Does anyone know what might be the reason?

A few problems with Norbyte "Script Extender".

  1. Me and my friend were trying to play DOS2 with mods and some of them (for example improved hotbar) needs a Norbyte Script Extender. While my friend's game works fine, my game won't load. At the start of the download, it says "Checking Script Extender Updates," then the download just freezes and doesn't progress. I've tried different versions of Script Extender, but nothing helps. My friend and I both play on Steam, and we have the same mod versions, game versions, etc.
  2. This isn't really related to the post title, but still. Even though I can't launch the game with Script Extender, I can still join my friend's game without it because the mods it runs on are actually client-side, and I can play without them (though it's extremely inconvenient). Yesterday, we finished the game, and everything was fine. Today, as soon as we launched the world, everything started going crazy. Our beds stopped working, as did the travel anchor, and we couldn't trade with anyone. We tried restarting the game again, but nothing helped. However, after the restart, for some reason, neither we nor the enemies could damage other NPCs. Our characters, however, can still be damaged. We loaded another world, and everything worked there, but it seems like our save was lost. We dont know how to save our world. If you've encountered similar issues and found a solution, please help us. We love playing Divinity and don't want to lose so much progress for no reason.
