How might I come across 12,000 XP on Reaper's Eye?

I was hoping to hit level 9 before leaving. But It seems I'm struggling to hit 8.

I'm not seeing any more quests I can do. The only things I'm not sure about are the pigs which are on fire, and there is a well somewhere which is asking for water.

I've killed every magistrate within fort joy, as well as all of Griff's group. I've cleared every encounter within the marsh. I've fought a pirate skeleton that summoned a group on me. I've killed the blood rose lady. I freed the dragon. Almost everything is pointing towards heading off the island.

Anyone know any XP I'm overlooking?

Is there any way to grab these body parts?

Two body parts (an arm and a torso) appear in a seemingly inaccessible area right behind where Niles the Flenser can be found in Fort Joy. While these parts will get highlighted when you try to cast Teleportation, I was unable to get a lock on either of them. Movement spells (like Cloak and Dagger) also don't let you access this area.

So is there any way to grab these two body parts? Thanks!

Help for first time player

So I loved BG3. Plan to play it again, but I have had DoS2 in my backlog for years. Played it a little bit, didn’t go too, far, forgot what happened and made a new character yesterday. I was ready to give up after a few hours though, due to the constant AoE, enemies throwing fire and poison. I’m always on fire in combat. It’s not even the difficulty, it’s more the annoyance.

I’m thinking of starting over again. What might be a way to play the game? How do you play with the constant AoE? Is there a way to extinguish it as a melee class? Admittedly no idea what I’m doing but I’m finding the AoE a problem and BG3 was more tactical and less AoE (though I used it on my run when I played a Druid).

Do you need to play DoS2 a certain way? A certain class? Am I missing something about the AoE that will make the game more fun?

I’m thinking about starting over as a water/ice mage, the whole floor is lava (literally) thing is bothering me that much lol. Any thoughts appreciated!

Hard Locked at The Academy puzzle

Playing on the Xbox, defeated the >!giant automaton and became The One, found the Forbidden Library, but I can’t get through the shielded wall to get to Alexander! I’ve moved all of the mirrors to the right position, have 8+ conductors, put them all where they’re supposed to go and … nothing. I turn on the laser beam in the Hall of the Teachers and it goes to the first mirror and that’s it. It won’t reflect at all. I’ve tried cheesing with electric spells, playing a capacitor nearby the pillar and pulling the level, stunning the pillar - nothing works.!< I cant find anything else online about this bug!!!! Please help I’ve spent 50+ hours getting here and it’s going to be so upsetting if I can’t move on :(

Xantessas shrine, help!

I solved the Pocket World puzzle and stabilized the core. Unfortunately, I still can't pray at Xantessa's shrine. What's missing? Am I doing something wrong?

Lone Wolf Advice

DOS2 is one of my favorite games, and I am no newbie to it. However, I have only played it with a party of four companions. I want to do another run with two LW characters, but I am unsure on how to start it since I want to maximize the character's skills. Not having to distribute gear will probably be the biggest bonus, as well as the added AP. May try Tactician, not sure because it will be my first LW run. Probably wouldn't last too long haha.

Currently, I was planning on going as Ifan (main) as a necro/TH physical, build as I did with my most recent game (still in Arx). Ifan is always the last to die because of his constant healing after he strips the armor away. I also wanted him for his natural bartering skills as human, and I typically max out his persuasion because I feel it fits him the most.

My problem comes with the second, and final, character. I really like both Fane and Sebille. Sebille's story intertwines with Ifan's a bit, which is neat. I built her as a pyro/summoner in the past which was pretty strong. I gave her a wand and a shield, so she never had an issue with dying too much. Her civil skill I kept up with was lore master, which is very important (up to a certain level).

Fane was my absolute favorite during my first time playing, however, I started to like Ifan more in my second. Fane being undead was a blessing and a curse. Not having to share heals and being able to pick locks as well as walking through deathfog was awesome. But, the issue of not being able to heal him when he was low was frustrating. Fane was a powerhouse on my second playthrough as a pyro/geo (especially due to Pyroclastic eruption) but he was very squishy, as any caster would be. For his civil skills, I obviously built thievery which aided me in many ways...

In my old parties I also had Lohse. I didn't care about her story or skill set as I had her aero/hydro and I have always felt it to be underwhelming. Hitting someone with a big axe or burning them is much more satisfying than giving them a little shock. However, she was my healer with arcane stitch, and restoration and still did good damage. Her civil skill was lucky charm with, at level 5, was great. Every couple of crates I opened, I got very good loot. She was always first to die, every enemy locked onto her because her PA was low while her MA was 1000+

How do you choose what to level and what to skip when only having two members? Each character brings value, albeit, it many come only in civil skills and healing at times. How should I build my second character? This is what I am struggling with the most because there is so much that I will be limiting myself to.

It gives this buff right here Dual wielding gives the status Twinkle Death: +1 movement, +25% damage, +1 max AP. +1 start AP, and +1 AP Recovery

It comes from Fenrex battle pack

Disable Friendly Fire?

Im playing with my brother and father and my dad is quite old and struggles with it. He generally kills us with his spells even though he tries is best.

Is there any way to disable friendly fire?

I looked at the workshop and nexus and couldnt find anything, the options also dont seem to have anything.

We dont really want to fully restart, even though we are only somewhere in act 2 after 20h or so, and this is currently not letting us enjoy the game.

Anyone have any tips that go beyond "aim better" which, as described, wont work here for us...

What's the chronological order of Divinity game series?

Hi, guys, I really like DOS2, and I would really love to play other Divinity games. I have recently purchased them thanks to the Steam Summer Sale. Could anyone tell me the chronological order? So I could follow up the story

Can we talk about how freaking scary flesh sacrifice would be irl?!

Like, really the best intimidation tactic. Imagine you start a fight with someone, and this degenerate slices open their own arm as their first move with all these theatricals. Nah, I'm out. You're good, I'm not messing with whatever is wrong with you. You be safe out there mate 😂

The forgotten and the damned quest

I've got the silver lever and repaired the mechanism but it still doesn't open. It looks like the ghost dude is blocking it from opening. I'm able to open it after consuming his soul but wondering if there's a way to do it without resorting to source vampirism?

Scoundrel or Warfare?

I am doing a lone wolf party with a custom character and Sebille. I backstab with her as much as possible but sometimes I do just attack face on. Trying to decide if warfare or scoundrel is better to increase on her.

Online multiplayer Xbox x to Xbox 1

Hi my family has Divinity 2 on Xbox x and Xbox One and both consoles. We wanted to set up online multiplayer with the two consoles but the Xbox X says it needs Xbox One version of game to connect.

If I buy a second Xbox One version of the game to put in the X, will it be compatible to play with the other Xbox One or are we wasting our money?

Please help!

Beast and Lohse builds for physical damage?

Got the Divinity saga on Steam yesterday since it was on sale; played DOS2 years ago but didn't get past Act 2. Now I've just gotten out of Fort Joy, level 5, running shadowblade Sebille avatar, wayfarer Ifan, support and control hydro/aero Lohse, and warfare/geo Beast.

The first problem I've run into is that while everyone else whales on the physical shields, Lohse ends up damaging the magic shields all by herself with her magic attacks. How do I fix this? Should I pivot her to a support/necro build instead? Or maybe a support/summons?

The second is that...I simply don't know how to build Beast. Right now he's kind of a generic fighter who uses fortify sometimes, but he's just not contributing to party damage or party utility as much as he could be. I wanted to make him a tank but am failing pretty badly at it.

Help would be much appreciated. Thank you so much in advance for your advice!
