Am I making a mistake? Starting a first playthrough as an Inquisitor Lohse on Tactician!

I know everyone says don't do it but I like a good challenge but is my starting character and class a bad idea? I envision a kind of heavy armor wearing knight caster

Is there any way to get this?

I saw that they're worth quite a chunk of change and I don't know if they have any special purpose, but I cant figure out a way to get them. Would I be able to with Telekinesis? Just thought I'd ask before starting over.

2025 cosplay contest vs 2026 contest

Went from competing as the dark urge in 2024 to red prince in 2025 to exxvikyap now in 2026. Larian makes some enticing characters i cant resist bringing them to life.

Here's how our party handled Doctor Daeva (Adramahlihk)

The context. We go through the Larian games in reverse order, we went through BD3 first. Previously, we refused to blow out thousands of candles, I don't know how much weaker the doctor would have been if we had done that.

In the first attempt, I gathered 6 enemies around Fane and took out the Deathfog barrel from the inventory, but the fog did not affect anyone. On the second attempt, I realized that this was the battle that deserved me to use a sword that would break forever after a single blow - Anathema. But even with low hp and Death Wish, I was only able to destroy 15 thousand of his physical armor. And then we found out that we only have 2 moves to defeat him or Lohse dies and we lose.

The third attempt on the video. I'm curious to know how the others did it?

Who was the previous Divine?

Somewhere in his many videos about Divinity lore, Mortismal (the YouTuber) points out with some emphasis that Lucian was not the first Divine; that there had been an earlier one, albeit a long time before Lucian became the Divine.

Is there any lore or other information about who this previous Divine was? And was *he* the first? Or was there yet another one before him, and so on?

And most importantly: what *happened* to the previous Divine? and to his predecessors, if there were any?

Is Sebille supposed to get Bless?

This is my first time playing the game and I'm almost done with Act 1. I know you have to lock in companions at the end of it, so I've been rolling with my intended final party composition which is a custom main, Sebille, Lohse, and Fane. I got the Hall of Echoes scene after finishing the Braccus Rex Armory (source collars were not yet removed at this time, not sure if that matters). Everyone got Bless afterwards EXCEPT Sebille (it's not in her Skill tab at all), which has been kind of annoying since besides the random source pools, I only found the one fountain and this game wants me to use Bless in basically every quest, so having only three people who can use it only once each has been pretty inconvenient (like with the pigs). Is this a bug? If so, any idea how to fix it? I tried searching but couldn't find anyone else mentioning it. I'm playing the vanilla Definitive Edition on PS5.

A celebration of death for the worst character in the game

Finally managed to defeat this absolute menace to society. It was a hard-fought battle, but the reward was more than worth it. I can now say for certain that I am truly safe among friends.

Burning Pigs Quest

I just escaped Fort Joy and got into battle around level 5 or something and something called “Disembodied Voice (? might have forgotten) just blessed my battle with some void walker thing in the marsh area and I completed a “Bless the Burning Pigs” thing and some NPC called Scapor randomly died in the fight and now I think I missed on something? 😭 Please let me know if I did!!!

Nameless Isle / Ascension - can we ascend Lohse and stay together as a team?

Hello all,

I tried to google this but did not find anything.

My party is Lohse, Ifan, Fane and my OC. We are having the discussion in front of the Lunar Temple / Academy for who is to ascend. My preferred option would be to ascend Lohse and stay together as a 4-person-team to support her. But the dialogue options won't let me?
If I talk to Lohse, I can tell her to ascend and promise her my support. Then immediately my party shrinks to just her and me. When I talk to Ifan or Fane next, the dialogue gives me the only options of letting them ascend (which I promised to Lohse half a minute ago) or persuading them to support me as the Ascendent (which I don't want, because reasons.) I don't have the option to persuade them to support Lohse. Or do I?

So, if I let Lohse ascend, we are a 2-person-team from now on and I have to say goodbye to Fane and Ifan? (They have all my stuff! I am just a flimsy Elf who can't carry more than their bedroll and someone's leg for a snack!)

I know I could just go with the flow and find out, but I don't want to lose the other companions.

I did load a safe and tried different options, and I can persuade all of them to follow me as Ascendant. But, see above, this is not what I want.

Is this my choice between a 2-person-team and taking the job as Ascendant?

Thank you for your input!

Not sure Rivellon can take another rodeo of Zandalor, but thankfully we have Arhu as a voice of reason on his side

What am I missing with DOS1

I've got 60 hours with this game, there's only a couple of spots left before going down the church (which I assume to be the critical path) but I just don't feel like going back to it.

I've attempted epic encounters and the 6 party mods, and though they help I feel like the game is missing something. My only concrete criticisms is that the main quest feels aimlesss and there's only 3 characters that I'm not indifferent about.

Should I muddle through and hope it gets better or give up and check DOS2?

Edit: To clear something, it's 60 hours across multiple attempts at playing through it, months apart from each other.

I'll probably try again next month or so.

Script Extender crashes randomly in fight

https://preview.redd.it/w4u53sw2z52h1.png?width=460&format=png&auto=webp&s=9905669a5f6aa114307da9298be7b1d83bf19c1c

My friend and I play with mods that require Script Extender. Everything was fine until the end of Act 2, but then this happened. Whenever I use an ability (whether modded or vanilla, or who uses it), the game crashes with this error. At first, it crashed for both my friend and me, but now, after switching to Arx, it only happens to me or him. I can't find a crash dump and don't understand what's causing the crashes. Does anyone know what might be the reason?
