Started playing DOS1 EE for the first time a couple days ago. My buddy is a big BG3 fan and this is my first time playing a Larian Studios game. We decided to do honor mode for our first run to raise the stakes, both going into the game completely blind. After clearing the lighthouse to the left of the city we traveled north to kill some of the undead in the same area. My fried whiffed a shot with his mage character and somehow stunned both of our main guys for 3 turns. No problem right? We can just flee one of our companions back to the city and come back with full health and res scrolls to take them on. Welllll it turns out if your main 2 characters die EVEN IF you have 2 companions alive the game wipes your party. It sucks finding that out the hard way but better now than 30hrs in I suppose. Lesson learned and we are starting another run soon. Really enjoying the game so far and looking forward to playing DOS2 and Baldur’s gate if we ever make it through the first one lolz!
