Lost my Steam account due to a phone reset and Steam Support won't accept 30+ receipts from 2024-2026.
Hey everyone,
I’ve been a Steam user since 2022 and I’m in a desperate situation right now. Long story short, my phone recently auto-reset out of nowhere and I lost completely everything. I can’t access the original Gmail linked to my Steam account anymore because the password was saved only in my phone’s notes app, which obviously got wiped during the reset.
The frustrating part is, I still know my Steam username and password perfectly. I just can't get past the verification because of the lost email.
I’ve already contacted Steam Support and provided everything I could—my usual login devices, locations, my last purchases, and over 30 valid payment receipts. But they keep shooting me down, insisting on a specific payment receipt from January 2022.
Honestly, finding a receipt from 2022 is impossible for me. Back then, I was just a clueless kid in school who didn't know any better and didn't keep archives. The oldest receipts I can actually recover from my local banking/payment apps only go back to 2024-2026.
Please tell me there’s some kind of workaround or solution for this. I've spent millions (IDR) on this account and have over 100+ games on it. I really don't want to lose years of memories and money just like that.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
