Anyway, I felt a few things were interesting about this auction. First, Red Sea Crossing seems to have overtaken Air Raid as the most expensive Atati game in the last year or so and now seems entrenched there.

Second, the author of the game was selling copies on eBay earlier this year for $7500 USD from a leftover stash. I was sorely tempted but didnt bite the bullet, but I know a few fellow redditors did. This auction provided better value and sold decently below that price: $6572.50 all in. I'm not slagging purchasers, I just found it interesting (there's a bit more risk buying from auction/unverified working status as well).

Third, Heritage Auctions boasted this was the first time since the original release that the game was being sold with the cassette tape that accompanied it. They reinforced the narrative that there was also supposed to be a coloring book... but i'm curious if any of us have ever seen said coloring book. I was curious about how they even authenticated the cassette tape beyond it being the correct narrator, as it isn't pictured in the original ad.

Just me nerding out a bit about one of the system's grails.
Dropped out of bidding at about the equivalent of 200CAD all.in (about 150USD). Pretty sure the winner was locked in at at least 250... I was running into a wall.
The Germans are obvious and the shooter in the middle in particular looks in nice shape. Can't tell if the clearish shooter marble to the left is a sulfide or not. The one next to the two shooters at 11 o'clock looks like it might be a Lutz. The lot looks reasonably vintage in general beyond these standouts.
What's the verdict? Should i have continued, or was i wise to get out?
