I've been doing slow practice for like a week but it still sounds bad and I can't play it faster than this without smothering it

Can you please give me some tips

I'm a classical pianist and I've been listening to a lot of jazz for the past 2ish years especially bill evans and I want to begin actually learning jazz piano

I also picked up the bass a few weeks ago and I added that in this recording

I'm imagining this as a jazz trio but at the moment I only have access to a bass and piano (I'm not good at bass as you can tell from the recording)

What would you rate this on a scale of 10 in terms of potential
