she was an impulse buy at lowes loll and ive only ever grown phals so im super scared to be branching out, i only have a north facing window so could it be possible to grow her in that north facing window if i add a grow light? also when i took her out i was disappointed by the roots, should i clip the dead ones? need all the tips pls🤞🤞
i posted about this orchid earlier and i now have moved it from water culture into this clear drainage pot.
the bottom layer is orchid bark and the middle is sphagnum moss to go around the roots and then its topped off with more bark.
i soaked in it a cup with water + a few sprays of the orchid fertilizer in the 6th slide.
the 10th and 11th slide are it earlier today when i had kinda given up on her and the very last slide is when i first got her.
please give me tips or tell me if i did anything wrong. also how often to water her
i chopped off the dead and rotted roots and im going to let the roots dry out and try to avoid more rot. she only has a few more roots left and i chopped the stems to hopefully she will recover? still need advice on what to do for her to start thriving (pic of how she looked when i first got her at the end, she was a true beauty😭😭)
I have killed every orchid i've ever had by putting it in bark and so I tried water culture with this one and clearly that didn't work so I had just given up on keeping orchids. But this one has been in this state for weeks, not completely dying off, but not thriving either so I thought id try to save it. What can I do to save this?
